 Speaker Bio: 

Mark Dy-Ragos is the Vice President of Information Security and Chief Information Security Officer for Wescom Credit Union – a leading credit union headquartered in Southern California. He is responsible for leading and maturing Wescom’s Information Security Program.

Mark received his MBA from Cal State Fullerton and his Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Ateneo de Manila University. He has worked in the Information Security field for over 20 years across various verticals including Financial Services, Healthcare, Government, Manufacturing, Consulting and Software. He currently holds the following industry certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) as well as several certifications from the SANS Institute.


Topic Abstract:

The presentation chronicles Mark’s journey in maturing the security program at his organization, highlighting key lessons learned along the way in effectively reporting risk metrics. Aimed at cyber and risk practitioners, Mark will share both the challenges he faced and the mistakes he made, providing insights on common pitfalls to avoid when presenting specific types of metrics. He will also discuss the strategies that proved successful, along with his plans for future improvements in communicating cyber risk.
